Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko is set to be sidelined for a brief period after picking up an injury just before the international break. The forward was forced off during the second half of the clash with Tottenham Hotspur 10 days ago, having played only 32 minutes before being unable to continue.
With all substitutions already used, United were left with 10 men to see out the match. Despite this, heroics from Matthijs de Ligt ensured the Red Devils claimed a point following Spurs’ late comeback.
Expected Absence and Return
After the match, manager Ruben Amorim revealed that further scans were required to determine the severity of Sesko’s issue. The latest update confirms that the Slovenian forward will miss only a few weeks of action. Sesko is expected to return to training at the start of December, potentially being available for the critical festive fixtures.
Fixtures Sesko Is Likely to Miss
- Everton – Old Trafford, Monday, 8pm kickoff
- Crystal Palace – South London, November 30
- West Ham United – Old Trafford, midweek December 4
- Wolverhampton Wanderers – Molineux, December 8
During Sesko’s absence, Amorim is expected to rely on summer signings Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, with either Mason Mount or Amad Diallo deployed in more advanced attacking roles.
