Real Madrid announced Zinedine Zidane as their new manager after the Frenchman left the seat at the end of last season.
Upon his return to Madrid, the three-time Champions League winner wants Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba with him at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the summer.
Zidane initially thought that the squad needed a complete overhaul before leaving the first time – wanting to sell the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale to fund it – though Madrid’s president Florentino Perez had been reluctant to greenlight such a dramatic transformation.
But now Real Madrid will be keen on backing Zidane in the transfer activity as their domestic struggles were doubled with their embarrassing Champions League exit to Ajax.
In the summer, Real Madrid were strongly linked with a move to sign Chelsea key player Eden Hazard and PSG forward Kylian Mbappe.
But according to El Chiringuito TV, it has been revealed that there are two more names on his wishlist: Paul Pogba and Sadio Mane.
Last year, Paul Pogba was heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus keen on signing the midfielder.
However, Pogba would want to play under Zinedine Zidane as he stamps the former midfielder as his role model when growing as a child.
Jose Mourinho’s departure has seen the 25-year-old midfielder reluctant of moving out of Man United after seeing his form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer improved massively.
The Red Devils would try everything to stop Pogba from leaving and Real would need to offer a mammoth amount of money – with several high-profile sales needed before they could bankroll such an audacious summer spend.
