Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has come under huge criticism following his poor performance against Brentford.
Man United suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday, having lost their opening game 2-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford last weekend.
Both Scott McTominay and Fred were horrendous against Brighton and Erik ten Hag took an easy decision to drop the former against The Bees.
United conceded four goals after 34 minutes of action, which proved that benching McTominay wasn’t the solution to Manchester United‘s struggle.
The Dutchman brought Scott McTominay into the mix in the second half in a bid to see a much-improved performance from his side. The 25-year-old was decent in his first 10 minutes but became a centre of cricitism after he gave away several sloppy passes, made poor tackles and got booked late on in the game.
A fan on Twitter admitted he couldn’t describe the Scotland international’s performance against Brentford in words even if he tried.

A fan replied to the tweet: “How is he a professional footballer..Its criminal.”
Another said: “Easily the worst midfielder in the premier league.”
“You can’t describe this performance in words,” said another concerned football fan.
Christian Eriksen started alongside Fred in the midfield but was also poor, as he played a role in Brentford’s second goal.
United haven’t scored a goal in their opening two Premier League fixtures and they face Liverpool next week Monday.
