Several fans have made mixed reactions after a report claimed that Gareth Southgate has decided to drop Marcus Rashford against Senegal in the Qatar World Cup round of 16.
The Manchester United forward is England’s highest goalscorer in the competition, with three goals in three appearances.
Rashford scored twice as a starter as England beat Wales 3-0 to finish as the winners of Group B and scored once as a substitute in games against Iran and the USA.
Many fans were expecting Gareth Southgate to maintain the Man United forward in the team, thanks to his current form.
However, the opposite is likely to happen after several sources have claimed that Gareth Southgate has decided to drop the 25-year-old on the bench against Senegal.
SPORTbible tweeted the breaking news about the Rashford decision and below are some fans who thought Gareth Southgate had made a wrong call.

A user replied: “Sorry. But who watches the Wales game and goes yep mount should play over Rashford. Joke.”
Another fan tweeted: “Because he has scored two goals and Southgate doesn’t want his players to score any goal.”
A United fan said: “Southgate is the English Ole.”
“Southgate wants to get sacked so bad lmao,” tweeted Dani.
James Hardy tweeted: “So he’s massively in form in the knockout stages and he’s been dropped, I don’t think Saka has done anything wrong either but Rashford should be playing IMHO.”
Gareth Southgate will release the official starting lineup one hour before the kickoff.
