Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was frustrated by what David de Gea did during a friendly game against Crystal Palace.
Man United smashed Palace 3-1 in the ongoing pre-season but Ten Hag was publicly not happy with his players failing to build from the back.
David de Gea had a chance and enough time to build from the back, given the options he had, but instead, he rather hit the ball long.
Failure to meet an intended target prompted Ten Hag to react with a shout “What the f**k are you doing?”
It was late on in the game and were 3-1 ahead with a man down, but the former Ajax manager still wanted his side to be in possession of the ball at any given time.
Manchester United’s pre-season has so far gone as planned, given the results they’ve had against Liverpool, Melbourne Victory and today’s win over Crystal Palace.
Anthony Martial scored the opener early in the game. Shortly after the second half, Marcus Rashford doubled the lead. A few minutes after that, Manchester United tripled their lead following a beautiful goal from Jadon Sancho.
After Ten Hag has weakened his starting lineup with a string of academy players, United conceded late. Ward pulled a goal back in the 74th minute.
