Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has named Manchester United as the team he looks forward to playing against.
Man City signed Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer in a bid to advance Pep Guardiola’s chances of winning the Champions League with the Etihad club.
United may have fallen behind the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea but they still remain one of the best teams great players relish the chance of facing.
Haaland was asked by a supposed Manchester City fan via Twitter to name the team he looks forward to facing now that he’s a Citizen.
The Norway international admits he doesn’t like to pronounce the words ‘Manchester United’ but he still named City’s local rivals though.
“I don’t like to say the words…Manchester United,” answered Haaland to a fan.
And the some Man City fans in the crowd shouted ‘yes’ to Haaland’s reply.
Manchester United, who showed strong interest in Erling Haaland in 2020 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, will face Liverpool on Tuesday as part of their pre-season.
Haaland will have to wait until next season before relishing the chance of coming against Man United in the Premier League.
