Victor Lindelof has refused to comment on the interview Cristiano Ronaldo had with Piers Morgan concerning Manchester United.
Ronaldo made some strong claims during his interview with TV host Piers Morgan, including where he accused the owners, the Glazers family, of running Manchester United as marketing club.
The Portuguese international also raised many eyebrows when he confessed that he doesn’t respect his manager Erik ten Hag because the Dutchman doesn’t respect him.
Ronaldo also claimed that Ten Hag, alongside two or three executives at United are forcing him out of the club.
He didn’t hold back. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner continued by accusing Manchester United of not making any change at the club and said he felt betrayed by the Red Devils.
Ronaldo said: “Since Sir Alex left, I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed. He knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be. He knows. Everyone knows.”
Victor Lindelof was asked for his thoughts on Ronaldo’s bold claims in the interview, but the Sweden captain blanked on the question, urging the journalist to ask something else.
“I do not know,” Lindelof told Fotbollskanal when asked for his thoughts on Ronaldo’s interview. “I will not answer that question. You get to take the next question. It’s my decision [not to talk about it].”
