Tottenham boss Antonio Conte rates Manchester United after defeat at Old Trafford

Antonio Conte has suggested that Manchester United are a different class compared to Tottenham following a defeat at Old Trafford.

Man United sealed a comfortable 2-0 win over Spurs at the Theatre of Dreams following goals from Fred and Bruno Fernandes.

The game could have ended by 4+ goals but Hugo Lloris came to the rescue.

The Red Devils outclassed and outplayed Tottenham and kept Spurs at bay until the final whistle.

After the win, United are now one point behind 4th-placed Chelsea, who recorded a goalless draw at Brentford on Wednesday night, but remains four points behind Tottenham, who have played a game more.

Despite the gap in the Premier League table, Conte believes both teams are not on the same class as he hails Manchester United as a ‘really good team’.

Manchester United are a really good team,” Conte said. “We are talking about two different levels.”

Erik ten Hag reacts after the win: “Eleven players who defend, eleven players who attack, a lot of dynamic. I am pleased with that.

“I will not say I am totally satisfied, good is not good enough. That has to be the standard here.”
