Michael Carrick believes time will tell whether or not Erik ten Hag will succeed at Manchester United, although he hails the Dutchman as a ‘good’ coach.
Ten Hag got off to a nightmare start to life at Man United after he lost two winnable games 2-1 and 4-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford and Brentford at away respectively.
The Dutch tactician bounced back with a 2-1 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford and has gone on to win Southampton 1-0 and Leicester City 1-0.
The former Man United caretaker hopes Ten Hag has a good season at the Theatre of Dreams and confirms that he is still a fan of his old club.
“He [Erik ten Hag] is a good coach, he did very well at Ajax and time will tell if he does well,” Michael Carrick told Eurosports via Daily Mirror. “It is not my opinion anymore, but I hope Manchester United have a good season, I really do. I know a lot of people there.
“I still go and support Man United and I hope they have a really good season and be successful.”
