"This sums it up" — fan claims Manchester United quality is at 'rock bottom' after Brentford loss

A fan has slammed Manchester United’s squad after Brentford defeat, insisting that their quality is at ‘rock bottom’.

Man United were decent in pre-season but have struggled to replicate that form in competitive games.

David de Gea made two howlers as The Red Devils let in four goals after 34 minutes into the game against The Bees.

Manchester United are obviously looking to improve their front line and midfield but it looks like they are in great need of a new goalkeeper, given De Gea’s inability to command his backline, build from the back and make high claims.

Erik ten Hag dropped Scott McTominay against Brentford due to his poor display against Brighton but brought him into the mix in the second half in a bid to savage something off Thomas Frank’s side. However, the Scot would rather give his critics something to criticise with his sloppy passes.

The 25-year-old gave away a sloppy pass inside Brentford’s half that could have led to a chance for United if he had the quality enough to make a decent pass.

Manchester United didn’t look like a threat in the entirety of the game despite having their big players on the pitch, hence why the fan thinks United are lacking quality in the team.

Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes were relatively silent in the game. Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t get services from the midfield.
