Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag believes Aston Villa deserved their win after admitted that the result was clear.
Man United started the game slowly, gave away some sloppy passes and ended up going two goals behind after 10 minutes.
While the Red Devils tried to start the second half on the front foot, the home side scored the third goal shortly after the interval and United eventually succumbed to the defeat with rather a dreadful collective performance.
Ten Hag believes his side were not good enough and points out their poor start to the game as a reason behind the defeat.
“We lose the game start of the first half and second half, that is unacceptable,” Ten Hag said after the game. “They looked more fresh, more ready.
“After a long time this has happened, I said it was up to us. We didn’t keep the ball, we didn’t get the right organisation, didn’t follow the rules and lost battles.
“The result is clear, it never lies. In football you always get your own earnings. Today we were not good enough.”
