Former Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has reacted to Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese star made comments about him during an interview with Piers Morgan.
Man United appointed Rangnick as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s temporary replacement but the German failed dreadfully.
The Germain tactician guided United to their worst season in the Premier League in recent decades after Manchester United finished sixth with zero goal difference after 38 games.
United’s performances were dreadful as a result of Rangnick’s old-fashioned tactics and Paul Scholes was one of the first pundits who question United’s decision to hire a sporting director rather than a coach to manage a club as big as Manchester United.
And Cristiano Ronaldo echoed the same thing during his interview with Piers Morgan, saying: “If you’re not even a manager, how are you going to be the boss of Manchester United? I’ve never even heard of him.”
Ralf Rangnick has responded to Ronaldo’s comments although he resisted the temptation to go deeper when he said it’s not his job to judge whether or not Ronaldo was right with his claim.
“I’m the team boss of Austria’s national team, it’s not my job to judge that. (It’s) the job of Manchester United and the sports journalists,” said Rangnick.
