Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar describes Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo using one word.
Ronaldo resigned for Man United last season from Juventus and finished as their top goalscorer with 24 goals across all competitions.
The Portuguese star also made the Premier League team of the year cut when he scored 18 goals and provided 3 assists in 30 league matches.
Despite the 37-year-old’s individual brilliance, Manchester United finished outside the top-four as the majority of his team-mates flopped throughout the season.
As result, Cristiano Ronaldo was blamed for playing a role in his team-mates’ poor run of form as many claimed he didn’t do enough to help the team going forward, and some football pundits and fans suggested that the former Real Madrid forward should be sold at the end of last season.
Ronaldo, who has lost his starting role to Marcus Rashford, has started only two games this term so far and both games ended in defeats, including United’s 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Manchester United have won four Premier League games in a row without the Portugal international in the starting lineup and many are starting to accept that United are better off with Ronaldo on the bench.
