Owen Hargreaves believes Marcus Rashford would score 250 goals for Manchester United when he retires after the forward scored against Sheriff Tiraspol.
Rashford came on at half-time for Antony and scored Man United’s second goal with a beautiful header.
That was his 99th club goal for Manchester United and Hargreaves has predicted that he would score around 250 goals with the Red Devils by the time he retires.
Speaking on BT Sport, the former Manchester United midfielder said: “99 goals for Manchester United at 24. I think that’s amazing. Just needs to score more goals but what he [Marcus Rashford] has been able to achieve at such a young age is pretty amazing.
“By the time he retires he could have 250 goals for Man Utd.”
Paul Scholes was also pleased with the England international’s total number of appearances he has made already at United and backed him to improve even better.
Not just the goals the appearances as well. 360. It’s incredible really. He does get stick for his finishing and does like to smash the ball a lot. I think he can develop that he’s still 24. That can come to his game,” said Scholes.
