Solskjaer sends Maguire, Shaw & Rashford messages ahead of Italy vs England tie

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent messages to his players Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford, who representing England in the ongoing Euro 2020, ahead of the final against Italy.

The Three Lions will face Italy in the final of the European Championship on Sunday night at Wembley after what looked like a decent run of good performances for Gareth Southgate’s men.

Man United‘s defenders Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw have been colossal for England as they played huge roles in guiding the Three Lions to the cup final.

Marcus Rashford has not been a regular starter for England, given that Southgate prefers the likes of Raheem Sterling and Bukay Saka ahead of the Manchester United forward.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits the 23-year-old, who played the majority of last season with several injury issues, deservedly fell behind in the pecking order but maintains that his forward would be ready if Southgates called upon him against Italy.

Marcus Rashford, of course, has had to be patient because there are other good players around [in the England squad],” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told MUTV.

“He’s just got to be ready. If, in the final, Marcus comes on, I’m sure he’ll be ready.”

On Maguire and Shaw, the Norwegian said: “I’m very happy Harry [Maguire] is fit and playing while Luke Shaw just keeps on going.

“Over the last couple of seasons, he has just improved more and more.”
