Marcus Rashford has heaped praise on four Manchester United players after their tight win over West Ham United.
Man United extended their unbeaten run to eight matches when they sealed a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Hammers on Sunday evening.
Rashford scored the match-winning goal midway through the first half but a lot happened in the second half.
The visitors tried to fight their way back into the game but Manchester United’s defensive resilience kept West Ham out.
The likes of Diogo Dalot, David de Gea, Lisandro Martínez and Harry Maguire were brilliant according to Marcus Rashford.
Dalot won several key aerial duels in dangerous positions, the same could be said of Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez as well. De Gea made brilliant saves late on in the game, including his last-minute save to deny Declan Rice.
Speaking after the game, Rashford told BBCMOTD: “We didn’t play well but good to win games like that. If we want to achieve our aims we have to win games like that.
Rashford’s match-winning goal was his 100th club career goal and he said: “Beautiful feeling [to get 100th goal].
“Something I have been working on, I feel I need to score more goals like that and keep getting in those areas.
“Pleased that I have managed to score today and it’s always good to score regardless of whether Gareth Southgate is watching or not.”
