Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has explained how he scored a superb solo goal against Burnley on Wednesday night.
Man United beat Burnley 2-0 to proceed to the quarter final of the Carabao Cup.
Christian Eriksen opened the scoring from a close range after he met a superb Aaron Wan-Bissaka cross.
In the second half, Marcus Rashford scored the second goal after he got past a couple of Burnley defenders to finish off what many described as a brilliant individual effort with a top class strike.
Speaking about the goal, he said: “The gap just appeared so I tried to go for it, and thankfully, it came off.”
On his form, the England international said: “It’s always good to come back, tough game but it’s good to get the win and go into the next round.
“I’m always trying to improve, to be effective whatever side I’m playing from or through the middle.”
Marcus Rashford reacts to Christian Eriksen’s goal: “It [the first goal] was like clockwork.
“It was obviously fun to be back out there, and I think the lads had fun today.”
