Manchester United set to submit huge offer for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Manchester United are reportedly set on offering a huge transfer fee to Lazio for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.

Man United are obviously in need of a defensive midfielder and have been linked with several defensive midfielders this summer.

Adrien Rabiot is reportedly close to joining Manchester United after it was reported that United and Juventus have reached an agreement for the France star but the deal hasn’t gone through because The Red Devils are yet to reach personal terms with the player.

Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodríguez has also been mentioned as a potential defensive midfield signing for Erik ten Hag and according to AS, the La Liga club would demand €20m from his suitors.

While the reports of United interested in signing a defensive midfielder this summer keep heating up, they are reportedly close to signing Lazio midfielder, Milinkovic-Savic, who has always been linked with a move to Old Trafford every transfer window in recent years.

According to Repubblica, Manchester United will submit a €68m offer for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in a bid to solve Erik ten Hag’s defensive midfield crisis.

The same report confirms that the talks between United and the Serie A club are still at the early stages and nothing has been agreed at the moment.

Both Fred and Scott McTominay started in midfield against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League last weekend and their underwhelming performances played a role in United’s 2-1 defeat to The Seagulls at Old Trafford.

Fans are fed up with both midfielders starting league games, with one posting footage from the Brighton game of Scott McTominay hindering what could have led to a chance for Manchester United.
