Christian Eriksen was part of the Manchester United squad that arrived at Old Trafford ahead of the Tottenham match, according to reports.
The former Spurs midfielder, who has been a massive plus at Man United since his summer arrival, missed last weekend’s drab goalless draw against Newcastle United at the Theatre of Dreams due to illness.
Erik ten Hag wasn’t certain whether the Denmark international would feature against his old club on Wednesday night but confirmed that he was at Carrington on Tuesday.
According to MEN, Eriksen was seen arriving at Old Trafford alongside his team-mates for their tough game against Antonio Conte’s men.
However, the report didn’t confirm whether or not the Dane will be part of the Manchester United squad to face Spurs tonight in the Premier League.
But what’s certain; his absence against Newcastle was felt and Erik ten Hag also confirmed that to be true during his pre-Tottenham press conference.
“We miss him [Christian Eriksen] when he’s not available, but we have a squad and another 11 players on the pitch,” said Ten Hag. “So then we have to construct another team and we can bring players from the bench, who are all good.”
The Dutchman also stated that he wasn’t sure whether or not Eriksen will be available for the midweek game but was certain about Anthony Martial’s absence due to a lower back injury.
“Anthony Martial is not available. [With Christian] Eriksen, we have to wait. He was just on the pitch,” Ten Hag told MU. “We have to see how he recovers from that and then we will make a decision tomorrow.”
