Manchester United prepare January move for Max Aarons, who's rated at £10m

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a January move for Norwich City defender Max Aarons, according to reports.

Man United are willing to let Aaron Wan-Bissaka leave the club in January as the former Crystal Palace defender obviously doesn’t suit Erik ten Hag’s philosophy.

Crystal Palace are said to be interested in re-signing the fullback in January and because United don’t want to rely only on first-choice right-back Diogo Dalot, they are expected to search for his replacement when the transfer window reopens in January.

According to The Sun, Manchester United are weighing up a winter move to sign Norwich City defender Max Aarons, who was linked with a move to Old Trafford in some seasons ago.

The same report claims that the Championship side rates the 22-year-old defender, who has made 17 Championship appearances this season so far, at £10million.

Ten Hag wants competition at the right-back, just as he has done in other positions, and has reportedly identified the Norwich star as the ideal player to provide sufficient challenge to Dalot for a starting place in the team.

Erik ten Hag confirmed after the West Ham United win at the Theatre of Dreams last weekend that he needs two good fullbacks, thanks to the number of games awaiting them.

“We need two good fullbacks [on the left and right] because we have a lot of games to come,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports.
