Manchester United have reportedly offered Anthony Martial plus cash to sign Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez, according to reports.
Man United are obviously going to splash the cash in the summer in a bid to advance Erik ten Hag’s chances of taking the club back to the top.
United last won a trophy in 2017 during Jose Mourinho’s reign but went close to winning a trophy last summer in the Europa League under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, The Red Devils are hoping they would end their trophy drought under Ten Hag and will boost his chances by bringing in quality players.
The Argentine forward, who has scored 40 goals in 93 games across all competitions for Inter since the start of last season, was a transfer target for Man United last summer.
Martial made a loan move to Sevilla in January in an attempt to get back to his best but his spell has rather been a nightmare due to injury issues and lack of consistency. As a result, the La Liga side are reportedly not planning on making his deal permanent.
Manchester United want to get the former Monaco forward off their book in a bid to welcome Ten Hag’s top priorities.
