"Manchester United are coming back" — Pep Guardiola names two Man Utd performances he likes

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed that Manchester United are coming back and pointed out two performances that have convinced him.

Man United are obviously rapidly adjusting to the way Erik ten Hag wants his team to play and are unbeaten in their last seven matches.

Manchester United have been playing in the majority of their games higher up the pitch, regardless of the stadiums.

United outplayed Tottenham midway through October and repeated the same dominance at Chelsea and against Sheriff Tiraspol but couldn’t finish off their chances against the Blues in the first half.

Man City boss has been pleased by United’s upturn in form and has pointed out United’s two performances that made him feel they are coming back to the top.

On Manchester United, Pep Guardiola told BBC: “I have a feeling that Manchester United is coming.

“Finally, Manchester United is coming. I saw yesterday [against Sheriff] and Chelsea the first half. I thought I like what I see from Man United just now.”

The Red Devils will look to repeat their dominant display against West Ham United when both sides meet on Sunday in the Premier League.

United are only three points away from 3rd-placed Tottenham, who have played a game more.

Receiving such compliments from Pep Guardiola, whose side has been one of the best teams in Europe over the past five years, is such a recognition that will only urge United to improve even better.

Manchester City will face Leicester City during lunchtime on Saturday at the King Power Stadium.
