Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has made his prediction on the upcoming World Cup after his side’s win over Fulham.
Man United bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League after they secured a tight, hard-fought 2-1 win over the Cottagers on Sunday evening.
Christian Eriksen and Alejandro Garnacho were on target for Manchester United. Daniel James scored the equaliser for Fulham but Garnacho’s late goal turned it into a consolation goal for the hosts.
Club action will take a back seat this weekend as the World Cup is set to commence seven days from now in Qatar.
Erik ten Hag has predicted that at least one of his players will return to Manchester as a world champion.
Speaking after the Fulham win, Ten Hag said: “The chances are quite big that one of our players (Manchester United) will return with the World Cup trophy.”
Manchester United have at least one player in each of the countries that are favourites to win the World Cup in December.
