Man United told they are 'average' club ahead of Champions League trips

Manchester City defender Angelino, who is currently on loan at RB Leipzig, has slammed Man United as an ‘average’ club ahead of Champions League meetings.

Manchester United will lock horns with the German club on two occasions after both clubs were drawn together alongside Istanbul Basaksehir and PSG in the Group H of the Champions League.

The on-loan Man City defender is currently in his second spell on loan with RB Leipzig and was chanced to preview his side’s upcoming Champions League matches.

Angelino could end his Manchester City career at the end of the season as the German side have the option to make his deal permanent.

But the 23-year-old showed his loyalty still remains at the Etihad Stadium as he called United ‘average’ when assessing Leipzig’s three opponents.

He told rblive.de: “I don’t know that much about Basaksehir. We know Paris from the semi-finals in the tournament in Lisbon.”

“And what I’ve seen from Manchester United so far: Sometimes they’re world class, sometimes they’re average. We don’t have to hide.”
