Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw believes David de Gea was amazing in goal against Bournemouth.
Man United extended their home wins to seven matches when they thrashed the Cherries 3-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils have now won their last five matches across all competitions and are in the 4th position with 35 points, same as 3rd place Newcastle United.
Manchester United may have won the game against Bournemouth but the visitors had their moments to fight back but De Gea was unbeatable after several saves.
Speaking after the game, Shaw said: “A really good result.
“At times we got sloppy and conceded chances but David de Gea was amazing and made a number of good saves. It kept us ahead in the game and the clean sheet.”
Shaw played the last two games as a centre-back but returned to his primary duty as a left-back against Bournemouth.
“It is always good to be able to try out new positions and I really enjoyed it,” Shaw said of his new role.
“I will play wherever and whenever the team needs me. Back to left-back tonight and pleased to get on the scoresheet.”
Shaw scored the second goal for Manchester United shortly after the interval to help keep Casemiro’s lead safe.
When asked whether he’d prefer a goal or clean sheet, Shaw replied: “I don’t get many, especially with my right foot, so I will have to go with the goal tonight!
“The strides we are taking are going in the right direction. There’s still a lot to improve but things are positive and we feel the confidence and belief is back.
“You feel it in training, in the stadium. Hopefully the fans are enjoying it.”
