Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp thinks his side could have won Manchester United tonight.
Man United, who lost both Premier League games against Liverpool last season, ended their horrid start to the season with a top performance that led to a 2-1 win at Old Trafford.
Jadon Sancho scored the opener early in the first half and shortly after the second half, Marcus Rashford scored the second goal.
Mohamed Salah scored a late goal from a rebound and that was the highest they could go against a full-spirited Manchester United side.
Liverpool had a couple of moments but United were equal to their threats.
Somehow, Klopp thought his side could have won the game.
Speaking after the game, the German boss told BBC: “We should have won this game, I know it sounds ridiculous but that is how I saw it.
“We lost 2-1 (to Manchester United) because time ran out. The watch ran down without any football.”
Erik ten Hag was pleased with his side’s performance and named three players who impressed him.
Erik ten Hag told Sky Sports: “I was happy with it [the performance], but you have to bring it every game. Not only one game… Every Premier League game is difficult, is heavy, so we have to bring it in every game.
