"I am not happy with that" — Erik ten Hag reacts to Manchester United's win over Bournemouth

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has revealed one area of his side’s performance against Bournemouth that he didn’t like.

Man United continued their fine form tonight at Old Trafford when they beat Bournemouth 3-0 in the Premier League.

The Red Devils moved level on points (35) with 3rd place Newcastle United after the Magpies held Arsenal to a frustrating goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium.

Casemiro opened the scoring with a top volley early in the game. Shortly after the interval, Luke Shaw doubled United’s lead after a superb team performance.

The visitors had some moments to pull a goal or two back but David de Gea came to the rescue on a few occasions and that’s what Erik ten Hag didn’t like.

The Reds left some space through the midfield that inspired the Cherries to create some decent chances via counter-attacks but De Gea kept his cool and helped United finish the game without conceding.

Although Marcus Rashford would score the last goal late in the game, Ten Hag still believed his side played smart as a team and agreed that United were lucky on a few occasions.

Speaking after the game, the Dutchman said: “I am happy with 3-0, that is obvious and quite clear but today was not our best game. We didn’t play smart as a team and sometimes we were lucky.

“We scored great goals and should have scored more. We could have conceded too but great saves from David de Gea, I am not happy with that. It is something we have to avoid.”
