"He's absolute class" — Martin Keown hails Casemiro after Chelsea draw

Martin Keown describes Manchester United midfielder Casemiro as ‘absolute class’ after his Chelsea performance.

Man United signed Casemiro from Real Madrid over the summer in a transfer deal that could increase to €70million based on pitch performances.

The Brazilian only started to start Premier League matches this month due to Scott McTominay‘s brilliant upturn in form.

Since his Premier League debut start against Everton, the former Real Madrid midfielder has been in the team and has performed immensely for the Red Devils.

He was class against Tottenham and scored a late equaliser at Chelsea with a brilliant header.

Former Arsenal player Martin Keown has nothing but special words for the 30-year-old midfielder.

Speaking after the game, Keown told BBC Match of the Day: “Absolute class. I think he’s a player they’ve been missing for years. Conducts everything in that midfield. The real defensive brain of the team, and he can pass as well.

“He’s [Casemiro] never ruffled. He sniffs out danger. He senses things really well, he anticipates. If you give it to him in a tricky situation he can find a pass. You see people doing that in front of you, it’s brilliant. His positioning is first class.”

That was Casemiro’s first goal since he moved to Manchester United from Real Madrid.

Man United will face Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday in the Europa League and the Brazilian midfielder will look to continue his brilliant performance against the Moldovians.
