Manchester United midfielder Fred completely agreed with teammate Paul Pogba after Tuesday night’s 2-1 win over PSG in the Champions League.
Man United fetched out another memorial win at Paris as they are now the first team since 2004 to beat PSG at Parc des Princes in the Champions League group stage.
Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot to put Man United in charge at half-time but Anthony Martial scored an own goal in the 55th minute to put PSG back into the game. Marcus Rashford scored a late goal to ensure United left Paris with a deserved win.
It was an all-round great performance from the Red Devils and Fred, who played the full 90 minutes against the French side, concurred the Reds had a great game in Paris.
The ex-Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder took to Twitter to hail his side’s start to the Champions League.
Fred posted on Instagram: “What a way to start our Champions League campaign. A great win away from home. Come on Reds!”
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was full of praise on Axel Tuanzebe for his ability to stop the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar despite only coming back from injury he suffered in 2019.
“To see Axel [Tuanzebe] play as he has done – I think his last game was maybe Colchester – it’s an unbelievable performance by him,” the Norwegian said. “He’s only trained for a couple of weeks and he’s absolutely spot on.
“Axel’s [Tuanzebe] a tremendous defender, a great leader. He’s come through the Academy and we’ve known for years that he’s going to be a top player for us and he’s got the character and the attitude that a Man United player should have.”
