Fabrizio Romano reacts to Kylian Mbappe to Manchester United speculation

Manchester United were linked with a move to sign Kylian Mbappe in recent speculation but Fabrizio Romano has ruled out the possibility of that happening in January.

Man United are reportedly keen on parting ways with Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese forward made some strong claims about the club and Erik ten Hag during his interview with Piers Morgan.

Among other things Ronaldo said, the five-time Ballon d’Or said he doesn’t respect Erik ten Hag and claimed the Dutchman and some executives want him out of the club.

The Portugal captain also claimed that the owner, the Glazers family don’t care about Manchester United as a sporting club because they care only about the dividends.

As per several reports, Ten Hag has informed Manchester United that he doesn’t want Cristiano Ronaldo in the team any more and United are now set on parting ways with the 37-year-old.

Reports emerged this week that United have shortlisted Kylian Mbappe and Victor Osimhen as potential targets to replace the former Real Madrid forward, whose current contract will run out at the end of the season, although he has a clause to extend it by further 12 months.

Fabrizio Romano has weighed in on the speculation and said United’s chances of signing Mbappe from PSG in January are wide off the mark but in the summer, it will be known if the Red Devils want the Frenchman or not.

“We will see in the summer, but for January there’s nothing ongoing between Manchester United and Kylian Mbappe; and PSG insist he won’t leave in January,” Fabrizio Romano said.
