Europa League: Six Manchester United stars set to start vs Real Sociedad

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is set to recall six players back into the starting lineup against Real Sociedad on Thursday night in the Europa League.

Man United will kick off their European campaign on Thursday when they host La Liga side, Real Sociedad, at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are on a four-match winning streak, having won against the likes of Liverpool, Southampton, Leicester City and Arsenal.

Erik ten Hag won all four league games with an unchanged starting lineup but according to Daily Mirror, he is expected to drop the majority of players from his winning team.

The report claims that Harry Maguire is expected to start at the back against the Spanish side, for the first time since the 4-0 defeat to Brentford.

The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Fred, Casemiro, Anthony Elanga and new signing Antony are all reported to be part of the starting lineup.

Antony made his debut against Arsenal last weekend and scored. Erik ten Hag is obviously planning on starting him in a bid to help him blend well with his new team-mates.

Ronaldo hasn’t started since the Brentford game, but has started on the bench five out of six games so far. A start against Real Sociedad will help him bounce back to full fitness.

Casemiro has also not made his full start, due to Scott McTominay’s recent top performances but the former Real Madrid midfielder is set on making his full debut against the Spanish side.
