Manchester United have been drawn against Barcelona in the 2022/2023 UEFA Europa League playoff.
Man United failed to finish as the winners of Group E despite finishing the group stage with a win and on the same level of points  as league leaders, Real Sociedad.
As a result, they MUST beat Barcelona in the round of 32 if they fancy qualifying for the round of 16 of the Europa League.

Manchester United responded perfectly by winning their next five matches but their win over Real Sociedad wasn’t enough as they needed to win the game by a two-goal margin.
United registered back-to-back wins over Omonia and Sheriff Tiraspol and a tight 1-0 win at Real Sociedad.
How Barcelona dropped from the Champions League to the Europa League
Barca finished the group stage with seven points after managing only two wins in six games. Barcelona lost both legs against Bayen Munich, lost to Inter Milan in Italy and drew against the Serie A side in Spain but won both encounters against Vitoria Plzen.

According to UEFA’s official website, the dates for the play-offs [both legs] are between 16th and 23 February.
The last time Manchester United and Barcelona crossed paths was in the 2018/2019 Champions League quarter-final and United lost both legs.
