Erik ten Hag: We have a no-Casemiro plan against Arsenal

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that he has plans on facing Arsenal without Casemiro in the team on Sunday.

Man United will try to get back to winning ways when they play visitors to Arsenal this weekend in the Premier League but they will do that without Casemiro.

The former Real Madrid midfielder received his fifth Premier League yellow card during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night and is now ruled out of the Arsenal game due to one-match suspension.

In his absence, the likes of Scott McTominay and Fred are the top candidates to pair alongside Christian Eriksen in the midfield and Ten Hag has already admitted he has a no-Casemiro plan for the Gunners.

The last time Manchester United met Arsenal, the Red Devils won the game 3-1 at Old Trafford with Scott McTominay starting alongside Eriksen in the midfield but his absence would definitely be a big blow to the Reds.

Speaking ahead of the clash on Sunday, Ten Hag said: “We beat Arsenal last time without Casemiro. We have an idea of how to deal with that.”

On Arsenal, the Dutchman added: “They [Arsenal] are in a great run. It is up to us to beat their run and we will do everything to do that.

“In the moment we played them [Arsenal], you could already see the manager and the coaching staff were already working for a long time on the team. They have even improved during the first half of the season.

“There is a really good spirit in their team so we know what to do. We have to be really good. We need a really good performance. But if we do, I think we have a good chance also to get out of that performance a good result.”
