According to Sky Sports, Manchester United boss passed on the chance to sign former Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum from PSG.

The Netherlands international left Liverpool for the Parisians two seasons ago as a free agent but has failed to live up to expectations and as a result, the French Ligue 1 giants are open to cashing on him this summer.

Kaveh Solhekol claims that he got informed that Manchester United didn’t sign Wijnaldum because the manager went against the idea.

“I’m told Erik Ten Hag turned down the chance to sign Georginio Wijnaldum from PSG,” claims the Sky Sports journalist.

Several Manchester United fans wouldn’t have loved the idea about the signing of Wijnaldum, given the fact that he’s played at Liverpool for seasons and at the same time, created some disturbing moments among the United fans.

Speaking of United’s transfer activity, Man United are a few hours away from signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus this summer after it was reported that United transfer chiefs have had direct contact with the player’s mother, who is his agent.
