Erik ten Hag reveals whether Cristiano Ronaldo will start vs Brighton

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has refused to reveal whether or not Cristiano Ronaldo will start against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.

Man United will start their Premier League 2022/2023 season with a game against Brighton at Old Trafford this weekend.

United were decent in their pre-season but Ten Hag’s chances of starting with his preferred starting lineup have been thwarted due to injury and illness issues on his players.

Anthony Martial is set on missing the game against The Seagulls with a minor hamstring injury, as described by MEN, hence attracting suggestions why Cristiano Ronaldo could start against Brighton.

However, Ten Hag refuses to give his team news, insisting that fans will see who leads United’s attack on Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Erik ten Hag was asked if Ronaldo would start and he replied: “We will see on Sunday.

Ten Hag doesn’t know when Anthony Martial will return from the injury, although he hopes the France star wouldn’t be out too long.

“It’s always difficult to say, I hope not too long,” said Ten Hag. “I think we will have solutions to sort it out.”
