Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has claimed that Marcus Rashford won’t be out too long due to a muscle injury but also said he has no idea when the forward will return back to action.
Rashford has started all of Man United’s six Premier League matches but scored three goals in his last four league games that ended in wins. He scored once against Liverpool and two against Arsenal.
Having scored a brace against the Gunners, the England international was hauled off late in the game and he appeared to have sustained a knock during the clash.
Rashford is now set on missing tomorrow’s game against Sheriff Tiraspol due to the injury and Ten Hag has issued an update on his fitness.
“He’s [Marcus Rashford] not available, a consequence after Arsenal. He has a muscle injury,” confirmed Erik ten Hag.
When asked if the England international would stay out injured for a long time, the Dutchman added: “No, I don’t think too long, but I cannot tell how long. It’s not really bad and we expect him to be back quite soon.”
Anthony Martial is also out injured and has played only once this season under Erik ten Hag and his second half cameo against Liverpool was brilliant.
