Erik ten Hag reacts to Marcus Rashford performance vs Bournemouth

Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag was pleased with Marcus Rashford after the forward scored again against Bournemouth.

Rashford has been in top form since the restart of club football after the World Cup as he has scored one goal in each of his last four matches.

The England international is currently one of the most improved players under Erik ten Hag and the former Ajax manager was pleased to see him on the scoreboard again.

“It was once again a great performance [from Marcus Rashford],” Ten Hag told BBC of Rashford’s form.

“I said before the season and the same with Martial, believe in the goal because they [the other players] will always create, so focus from minute one to the last and the chances will come.”

Ten Hag wasn’t particular impressed by the space Manchester United left midway through the second half that could have resulted in goals for Bournemouth, had David de Gea not stepped up.

“We scored great goals and should have scored more,” the Dutchman said.

“We could have conceded too but great saves from David de Gea, I am not happy with that. It is something we have to avoid.”

Manchester United will host Everton at Old Trafford on Friday in the FA Cup.
