Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has suggested that he wouldn’t mind losing to Graham Potter again ahead of this weekend’s clash.
Man United will play visitors to Chelsea on Saturday in what will be the first meeting between both Premier League giants but the same can’t be said for both managers.
Ten Hag and Potter came up against each other on the opening day of the season but the latter got the better of him while at Brighton & Hove Albion at the time.
The Manchester United boss has suggested that the reason he lost to the Englishman could be because Potter knew much about him and he didn’t know much about him.
Potter has joined Chelsea after brilliant seasons with the Seagulls and both managers are set to face each other again this year.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Ten Hag said: “It is nothing, I think from that game. It is a different team, different game. We are further in the process.
The Red Devils are only one point behind 4th-placed Chelsea and a win over the Blues will not only take them into the top-four but will make Man United the first top-six side to win away from home against another top-six team in the league this season.
And Ten Hag doesn’t see playing away from home as an issue: “For me it [playing away from home] is never an issue.
“The pitch is the same size, 11 vs 11, there is a ref and we always have a lot of support from our fans. We feel strong.”
