Erik ten Hag adds PSV forward to his Manchester United transfer wishlist

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reportedly included PSV forward Cody Gakpo in his transfer wish list, according to reports.

Man United are obviously short of quality options in the attacking department and are desperately keen on signing at least one forward this summer.

Reports emerged last month that United’s interest in signing a striker doesn’t rely on whether or not Cristiano Ronaldo leaves this club this summer.

The Portuguese star is said to be keen on leaving the club for a Champions League club, although Erik ten Hag and Manchester United chiefs have sounded out that the forward isn’t for sale.

Antony is a transfer target for Manchester United but because Ajax value the forward at over £100million, United are reportedly searching for a cheaper alternative.

According to Mirror, Ten Hag has added PSV’s Cody Gakpo to his wanted list. He would cost around £40m.

And that’s half the price Ajax placed on Antony and some fans who are familiar with the 23-year-old forward think Gakpo is twice the player Antony is.

Gakpo managed 27 Eredivisie games last season for PSV and scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists. He also scored twice in 6 Champions League games.

Benjamin Sesko is also a transfer target for Manchester United but Chelsea and PSG are reportedly in the transfer hunt as well.
