Dalot has received loads of compliments for his top performances that have helped Man United win their last four games including against Liverpool and Arsenal.
Many Manchester United fans have used different special words to describe Dalot’s recent top form, and Cristiano Ronaldo appears to have followed suit when he gave the former Porto defender a nickname on social media.
Now, ahead of what is expected to be Cristiano Ronaldo‘s first Europa League game ever tonight at Old Trafford, the five time Ballon d’Or winner came across Diogo Dalot‘s photo of him in training on Instagram, to which he replied calling him a “piteusinho,” roughly translating to “little pittie.”
While there’s no English equivalent of “pittie,” it’s been claimed that it thoroughly means ‘little pitbull’, obviously a different praise to the ones Dalot has been used to hearing when it comes to his football.
Dalot and Ronaldo last started a game together in August against Brentford and it ended in horror as Manchester United succumbed to a 4-0 thumping of the Bees.
Both are in contention to start against Real Sociedad tonight, although Aaron Wan-Bissaka has a higher chance to starting at right-back after he was seen in training this week.
