Former Bulgaria forward Dimitar Berbatov has provided his prediction on Crystal Palace vs Manchester United clash this weekend.
Man United will play visitors to Palace on Sunday in the Premier League and will look to get all three points in a bid to ensure they have a place in the Europa League next season, regardless of West Ham United’s result.
The Red Devils are poised on facing Patrice Vieira’s side without their top goalscorer, Cristiano Ronaldo, due to a hip flexor injury. An issue that has prevented the 37-year-old from featuring in some league games, including United’s loss against Manchester City.
Jadon Sancho is also a doubt for the trip despite returning to training this week, Marcus Rashford could make his return to action this weekend after missing United’s last game against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Despite these doubts, Berbatov backs Manchester United to seal their hideous season with a tight 2-1 win over Crystal Palace but doesn’t rule out a chance of seeing The Eagles pull off an upset at Selhurst Park.
“Well, it’s not been a great season for United, they have a big rebuild in the summer and I hope they use this final game to end the season on a positive note,” said Berbatov via Metro.
