Cristiano Ronaldo has backed Manchester United to beat Chelsea this weekend in the Premier League despite his ban.
Ronaldo has been ruled out of the Man United squad to face the Blues on Saturday due to the disciplinary action Erik ten Hag took against him after he stormed down the tunnel during United’s 2-0 win over Tottenham on Wednesday in the league.
Ten Hag ordered the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to train alone for three days, which eventually ruled him out of Stamford Bridge.
“Let’s go @manchesterunited,” Ronaldo posted on his official Insta handle.
Ten Hag has reportedly told the 37-year-old that he will have to apologise to his team-mates and coaching staff before he will be reintegrated back into the team and the Portuguese star has also agreed to do so.
In his absence, it’s obvious Marcus Rashford will retain his starting role after his decent performance against Tottenham last time out.
Ronaldo has scored only two goals in all competitions this season as he has played the majority of the games as a substitute.
