Cristiano Ronaldo reveals Cristiano Jr chat after he found out about Man Utd ban

Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed the conversation he had with Cristiano Jr after his son found out about the Erik ten Hag ban.

Man United boss Ten Hag froze Ronaldo out of the squad for three days as a punishment for storming down the tunnel during a game.

United and Tottenham were in action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in October and the Dutchman decided to bring Ronaldo on in injury time but the 37-year-old left the pitch.

Ten Hag’s suspension of Ronaldo ultimately ruled the five-time Ballon d’Or winner out of the Chelsea game, to which sparked questions from his son.

CR7 also admitted that he felt ‘very’ disappointed by the ban as it was his first time to be banned by a manager.

“I was very, very, very, very disappointed for the communication of Manchester United. To be honest, I never had a problem with any club, with any coach. And they suspend me three days, which I felt it was a lot,” Ronaldo told Piers Uncensored.

“I remember arriving home and Cristiano see me and say ‘Daddy do not go to the game?’ I say ‘No, because the club punish me with three days’. He did like *laughs* ‘How they’re going to punish you if you are the best player in the world?'”

Ronaldo also revealed that he apologised to his team-mates just as reports claimed that Erik ten Hag wanted him to do so before he would be reintegrated into the squad.

He added: “I apologised to my teammates for the situation, I did an Instagram post, I regret to leave the stadium. I regret my teammates know what I felt — but in the same way, I don’t regret the decisions to not come on…”
