Cristiano Ronaldo: ‘Not true’ – journalist claims Bayern Munich not interested in Man Utd star

According to German journalist Christian Falk, Bayern Munich are not interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United contrary to recent reports.

Man United are reportedly keen on offloading Ronaldo in January after the Portuguese star made some strong claims in an uncensored interview with Piers Morgan.

The Portuguese star claimed that Erik ten Hag and other chiefs are forcing him out of the club and also said he doesn’t have respect for the Dutchman.

Sources close to Manchester United claim the five-time Ballon d’Or winner may have played his last game as a Red against Aston Villa last two weekends in the Premier League as they are keen on parting ways with the 37-year-old.

Several reports have claimed that Man United are either looking to terminate his contract or offload him for free in January as they are anxious to part ways with a player who doesn’t rate the manager of the club.

As a result, reports emerged this week that Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes held transfer talks with Bayern Munich over a move to Germany when the transfer window reopens in January.

However, Christian Falk has rubbished some reports, insisting that the Bundesliga champions did not hold any talk with the Real Madrid legend.

Speaking to Twitter, he said: “It is not true that Bayern had a meeting with Jorge Mendes. Bayern are not interested in Cristiano Ronaldo.”

The likes of Chelsea and PSG have also linked with moves to lure Ronaldo in January but nothing is official at the moment.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s focus is on the World Cup in Qatar with Portugal and will consider his future after the competition.
