Confirmed: Manchester United’s five matches across all competitions in January

Manchester United will be in action five times in January and two of these fixtures are cup matches, which could give United a wrong shit of aim for the season.

Man United are anxious to end their five-year trophy drought and there are suggestions that this year could be where they would win at least one trophy.

The Red Devils are in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup and will face Charlton Athletic, a fixture that looks like a walkover, according to many.

But Manchester City and Newcastle United are still in the competition, hence winning the Carabao Cup remains tough for Manchester United however, not impossible.

United will look to continue their superb Premier League form of four wins out of five games including their 1-0 win at Wolves when they host Bournemouth at Old Trafford on January 2 and will only think about revenging their 6-3 defeat when they welcome city rivals, Manchester City in second week of January.

Manchester United’s last game of the month is a trip to north London to face the league leaders, Arsenal, and will tend to do the league double over the Gunners, although it would be a massive mountain to climb given Mikel Arteta’s side’s current form.
