Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen believes Erik ten Hag is leading the club on the right path, thanks to their recent performances.
Man United may have started their season poorly following two defeats to Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford, but their recent performances have been eye-catching.
United outplayed the likes of Newcastle United, Tottenham, and Chelsea in recent games and created loads of chances that could have handed them comfortable wins against Newcastle and Chelsea.
The Red Devils are beginning to press teams, regardless of the stadium, and regularly winning balls higher up the pitch, which has helped United in creating good goalscoring chances.
The United fans are actually impressed by United’s latest development and Eriksen has confirmed it to be true and has also admitted that the Manchester United squad is now playing how Ten Hag wants the team to play.
“Yeah I do [think Manchester United need to improve]. I also have the feeling the fans feel it,” Eriksen told MUTV ahead of Sheriff Tiraspol clash in the Europa League on Thursday. “You can see the development in the games, there has been a bit of a rising. We are starting to believe it but there are things we can do better. We are on the right path.
“I think we started, the players, we started believing what we are doing on the pitch. The 1-0 wins gave us a lot of confidence. I think it is a bit belief. He wants us to do stuff and we try to do that.
We are starting to feel a connection, it is a good squad. He [Ten Hag] did well [with the Manchester United signings.”
