Chelsea defender reveals he supported Manchester United growing up

Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell has revealed that he supported Manchester United when he was a kid.

The Blues signed Chilwell from Leicester City two seasons ago and the defender would go on to help Chelsea win the Champions League title last year.

The England international may be a Chelsea player, but that did not stop him from naming Manchester United as the club he supported growing up.

Speaking to Complex, Chilwell told team-mate Christian Pulisic: “I always supported Manchester United growing up.”

The former Leicester City defender also named Wayne Rooney as his GOAT English footballer, to which Christian Pulisic agreed to, saying “I used to like him”, and Sir Alex Ferguson as his GOAT football manager and Pulisic had no problems with that as well.

Ben Chilwell‘s playing time could be thwarted at Chelsea following recent updates that The Blues have agreed to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion and his signing could be made official this week.
