Chelsea 4-2 Manchester United Women: watch goals from Ella Toone and Martha Thomas

Manchester United Women succumbed to rather a frustrating defeat to Chelsea Women in what is said to be their last FA Women’s Super League game of the season.

Man United Women started the game on the front foot when Martha Thomas opened the scoring early in the game with a beautiful finish, thanks to Katie Zelem for the assist.

But a few minutes later, the hosts fought their way back into the game after Cuthbert scored the equaliser.

Relentless Manchester United Women restored their lead in style but this time, it was from Ella Toone, who perfectly volleyed Leah Galton’s cross.

Marc Skinner’s side led then title-contenders, Chelsea Women, at half-time after a resounding performance.

In the second half, Manchester United Women failed to replicate their first half performance, which forced them to settle for a disappointing defeat.

Guro Reiten scored the equaliser shortly after the interval, and two goals from Kerr would turn the game around in favour of Chelsea.
