Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has revealed the qualities in Marcus Rashford that he loves after months training alongside the England forward.
Rashford, who has been compared to Kylian Mbappe on a few occasions, is obviously one of the most inform players in the Premier League in recent weeks, having scored in United’s last two league matches against Nottingham Forest and Wolves.
The 25-year-old came off the bench and score the match-winning goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers on December 31 to take Manchester United into the top four.
Rashford has scored 11 goals in 22 appearances for the Red Devils this season and he has not only impressed the majority of the Red Army but also his team-mates, including Casemiro, who claimed that the England international can be one of the best in the world.
The former Real Madrid forward admits he enjoys playing alongside Marcus Rashford because he’s a ‘spectacular’ player with pace and strength.
“What a spectacular player,” Casemiro told ESPN Brazil on Marcus Rashford. “I’m enjoying playing with him. He gives us a lot of energy.
“I’m delighted to play with him. I’m sure if he stays like this, with the conditions he has, he can easily be a top-five player — he’s exceptional.
“He [Marcus Rashford] has an incredible way of hitting the ball, he’s got strength, he’s quick, is very clever playing. He was one of the players that really surprised me.”
Both Casemiro and Marcus Rashford have another chance to share the pitch tomorrow when Manchester United host Bournemouth at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
