Casemiro and Luke Shaw have agreed that Marcus Rashford can be one of the best players in the world after his superb performance against Wolves.
Rashford has been one of the most improved players at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag.
The England international was dropped to the bench by Erik ten Hag against Wolves due to internal discipline but came off the bench and won the game for Man United.
Rashford scored late in the game with a brilliant individual performance and doubled the lead in a few minutes later but his goal was ruled out for a handball.
Luke Shaw understands the qualities in Rashford and has raved that his compatriot can be among the best in the world if he continues his current form.
Speaking after the win over Wolves, Shaw told MUTV: “Everyone knows the qualities he’s got, he’s world class and he can be one of the best in the world if he keeps going and hopefully he does do that.
“For now it’s about keeping them standards high; consistency is key to being a top top player.”
Casemiro, five times Champions League winner, also said Rashford can be among the best in the world if he continues his top form.
“I’m gonna be very honest with you. I was really surprised with the player Rashford is,” said Casemiro.
“In my opinion, especially knowing the player off the pitch, if he’s doing well, he can be one of the top five players in the world.”
Marcus Rashford has now scored 11 goals this season in all competitions and has the chance to extend his tally this week against Bournemouth.
